I love The Woodlands and want to give back to this wonderful community that has given so much to me and my family. What motivates you to run for The Woodlands Township Board of Directors? I’ve served on Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo committees, I am on the Board of Directors of the Associated Builders & Contractors of Texas, I am a Founding Advisor for the Texas Public Policy Foundation Right on Work Policy Center and I was a City Council Member in the City of Nassau Bay, TX from 2008 – 2013.Ĥ. Giving back to our community is very important to our family.Īs a lifelong Houstonian it’s also important to give back to our greater Houston area. We also contribute to local charities and organizations and I’m an Advisory Board Member of Preserve The Woodlands. My family and I are active members of The Woodlands Methodist Church and participate in mid-week bible studies and contribute to missions and special projects there. How have you served and/or how do you currently serve and contribute to our community? Some people jokingly call this “the bubble” but I’m proud to call it home.ģ. When I hit the Woodlands Parkway flyover coming home and enter our livable forest, I get a sense of peace. We live in a forest and that’s special and something that we need to maintain. There’s always something new to discover here!įinally, the beauty of The Woodlands is something I treasure. Friday Night Lights in The Woodlands is such a great thing. I also just took my kids to their first high school football game – The Woodlands High School verse College Park.
My family loves eating at the restaurants, walking on the pathways, playing at the parks, attending concerts at the Pavilion and spending time in our village centers. Attending worship on Sundays and bible study during the week is truly the highlight of my week. My family and I also love attending The Woodlands Methodist Church. Woodlands residents and those who work here are all uniquely different but combine to make this the best community to live. Tex-Mex, the lady who works the drive through window at Dosey Doe Coffee at 6am and the cashiers at my local HEB. I’m on a first name basis with my favorite waiter at Goode Co. Our postal carrier makes our children’s birthday cakes. Our neighbors are some of our best friends. The best thing about The Woodlands is the people who live and work here. Why do you enjoy living (and working, if applicable) in The Woodlands?
